Glossary
The terms PlayerPal uses in its product and developer documentation, in alphabetical order.
Account: A player's portable PlayerPal loyalty account, created the first time they sign up or link. It is not a casino account or a sign-in method. Also called the PlayerPal Account. See Player experience.
Activity: A factual gameplay event a partner reports for a player alias after it happens, such as a settled round with its bet, win, game and time. PlayerPal calculates Points from eligible Activity. See Sending activity.
Affiliate: A partner that refers players to operators. In the current version, operators report affiliate attribution as the authoritative source. See For affiliates.
Alias: A random, PlayerPal-issued identifier for a player that is meaningful only to the one partner it was issued to. Aliases are never derived from personal data. Also called a pairwise alias. See Linking players.
Anonymity thresholds: The rules that withhold comparison figures when too few players or peers contribute, or when one peer would dominate the result. See Privacy thresholds.
Audience: Who may see and use a given alias: a particular operator, or a particular game provider at a particular operator.
Batch: A group of Activity events or facts sent together. Batches are accepted first and processed afterwards, and a batch sent twice is counted once. See Idempotency and errors.
Benchmark: Anonymous statistics (quartiles and mean) for partners of the same type, with your own position shown as a percentile band. Never names, ranks or individual peer values. See Metrics.
Campaign: A versioned set of rules that decides which Activity earns Points and how many. Past credits always refer to the campaign version that produced them. See Points and rewards.
Delete Account: The player's action to erase their PlayerPal identity. Gameplay facts may remain without anything tying them to the player. It does not delete accounts the player holds at partners. See Player experience.
Fact: A pseudonymous daily figure a partner sends for analytics, such as a player's daily gameplay at a studio or daily commercial figures at a casino. See Fact ingest.
Game provider: A studio whose games run at operators. A game provider receives a separate alias for each operator it is integrated with. Also called a provider or studio. See For game providers.
Insights: Automatic observations about a partner's figures, produced by fixed rules. See Insights.
Link: The one-time step in which a player connects a partner to their PlayerPal Account. No Activity is sent for a player until a link is complete. See Linking players.
Link broker: The partner's own backend that the PlayerPal widget calls to check link status and, when that partner starts linking, to run the link flow. It keeps partner credentials out of the browser. See Widget.
Linking mode: How a provider alias reaches a game: already linked, linked by the operator before launch, or linked by the provider after launch. The mode never changes what a partner may see.
Market: The licensed jurisdiction an activity took place in, as a two-letter country code. It comes from the partner's report, never from the player. See Metrics.
Network comparison: Your players' figures against the rest of the PlayerPal network, shown as per-player rates, an index and a percentile band. See Analytics overview.
Operator: A casino or other gaming business where players hold accounts and play. See For operators.
Passkey: A sign-in credential stored on the player's device and unlocked with fingerprint, face or device PIN. PlayerPal's recommended sign-in method.
Player: A person with a PlayerPal Account. One person may hold more than one Account if they choose not to combine them.
PlayerPal ID: The identifier a player sees for their own Account. It is never sent to any partner.
PlayerPal widget: An optional, versioned PlayerPal component that partners embed in game pages to show link status and start linking. Its failure never blocks play. See Widget.
Points: Loyalty units PlayerPal calculates from eligible Activity and records on the player's ledger. Partners never submit Point totals. See Points and rewards.
Recovery codes: One-time codes a player keeps to regain access to their Account without email or SMS.
Reward partner: A partner that funds or fulfils rewards players can redeem with Points. This role is planned. See For reward partners.
Round: One game cycle at a game provider, from accepted bet to settled outcome. It is complete before PlayerPal ever hears about it.
Unlink: The player's action to disconnect one partner from their Account. Play continues and earned Points stay, but later play with that partner stops earning. See Player experience.
Visibility tier: The level a figure belongs to: your own players, network comparison, or anonymous peer benchmark. See Analytics overview.
