Player experience

A Player has one PlayerPal Account that follows them across every casino and game they connect. They sign in without an email address, choose which partners are connected, see the Points they have earned, and can disconnect a partner or delete the Account at any time. Casino play never waits on PlayerPal.

The PlayerPal Account

Available

The Account is the player's portable loyalty identity. It holds their sign-in methods, recovery codes, connected partners, signed-in devices and Points. The player sees their own PlayerPal ID; partners never do. Each partner only ever receives its own alias for the player.

PlayerPal does not ask for or store the player's email address, name or telephone number.

Signing in

Available
MethodHow it works
PasskeyThe recommended method. Uses the device's built-in sign-in (fingerprint, face or device PIN). Nothing to remember, nothing to phish.
PlayerPal ID and passwordPlayerPal generates the ID; the player chooses a password. No email address is involved. Players are encouraged to add a passkey.
Social sign-inSign in with a supported social account. PlayerPal keeps only an opaque reference from the provider, never the profile, email or name.

Email links and SMS codes are not offered, because they would require PlayerPal to hold an email address or phone number.

Recovery

Available

Because there is no email or SMS, recovery relies on factors the player holds:

  • one-time recovery codes, generated after sign-up
  • an additional passkey on another device
  • an already-connected social sign-in

Players can see their signed-in devices and sign out the ones they no longer use. PlayerPal staff cannot reset a player's credentials or take over an Account.

Linking from a casino

Available
  1. Start at the casino

The player chooses to connect PlayerPal from the casino's site, or from the PlayerPal widget in a game.

  2. Sign in or create an Account

A PlayerPal window opens. The player signs in, or creates an Account if they do not have one. If they already have PlayerPal, they are asked to sign in rather than create a second Account.

  3. Approve the connection

The player approves that specific casino, and the games it offers, as a connected partner.

  4. Start earning

From then on, eligible play at that casino earns Points automatically. The player does not need to stay signed in to PlayerPal.

Play that happened before the link does not earn Points. Linking is optional: a player who cancels keeps playing as normal.

Connected partners

Available

The Account screen lists each connected partner by name. Disconnecting is done here, on the PlayerPal Account, not in casino settings. A casino may link to this screen from its own account pages.

Available

Unlink disconnects one partner. Before confirming, the player is asked to re-authenticate and is shown what happens:

  • play at that casino continues as normal
  • Points already earned stay on the Account
  • later play with that partner no longer earns Points
  • reconnecting later creates a new link with a new alias

Unlinking a casino also disconnects the game integrations at that casino. Unlinking a single game integration leaves the casino connected.

Delete Account

Available

Delete Account erases the player's PlayerPal identity: sign-in methods, connected partners and the links between the player and their aliases. It requires re-authentication and a confirmation that the player's casino accounts are not affected. After deletion the player is signed out.

Gameplay facts may be kept without anything that ties them back to the player. Delete Account does not delete the player's accounts at casinos or other partners; those remain the partner's responsibility.

Points balance and activity

Available

The player portal shows the current Points balance, recent ledger entries, which partners the Points came from and a day-by-day chart. Points are calculated by PlayerPal from the activity partners report, so every partner's contribution is counted the same way.

The widget in games

Available

Game pages can show the PlayerPal widget. It tells the player whether that game is connected ("Earning points") or offers to connect ("Connect to earn"). The widget is optional and loads separately from the game: if it fails to load, the game is unaffected.

Rewards shop

In development

A rewards shop where players spend Points is in development. Today, players earn and view Points; spending them is not yet available. See Points and rewards.
